Rescue & Voucher Groups

The Spay Neuter Veterinary Clinic of the Sandhills (SNVC) is a high‑volume, low‑cost spay/neuter clinic dedicated to reducing pet overpopulation and expanding access to veterinary care across our region. Since opening in 2007, we have performed over 120,000 spay and neuter surgeries, the majority for rescue groups, shelters, and pet owners who might not otherwise be able to afford care.

SNVC’s main clinic is located in Cumberland County, with additional outreach through our mobile surgery unit and a satellite location in Lumberton (Robeson County) offering surgery and wellness services by appointment. These programs allow us to serve underserved communities and support the organizations working directly with animals in need.

Our reduced pricing is made possible through grants and the support of the Spay Neuter Initiative Program (SNIP), a nonprofit created to bridge the gap when cost is a barrier to care. Together, SNVC and SNIP work to ensure that pets receive essential veterinary services regardless of financial circumstances.

Working With Rescue & Voucher Groups

We offer two reduced‑pricing options:

  • Rescue Groups which own the animals they bring for care
  • Voucher Groups that subsidize surgery for privately owned animals

Groups that operate in both capacities may register for both options. Once approved, groups receive a full information packet, pricing details, and access to scheduling options that best fit their organization.

Approved groups may also participate in the SNVC client and patient portal, which allows you to track animals seen at our clinic, view financial statements, and manage appointments in one place.
